NE Community Band holiday concert–RESCHEDULED
The Northeast Community Band will present its holiday concert at Edison High School, 700 22nd Avenue NE, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023. The concert will begin at 7 pm. Selections will include old chestnuts such as Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" and "Auld Lang Syne," as well as special reading of "The Night Before Christmas." “Unpredictable Drawings” book launch
David Goldes will launch his new book, "Unpredictable Drawings," 5 pm Friday, March 3 at Dreamsong, 1237 4th Street NE. The book showcases his work using chemical and electrical transformations of materials such as graphite and silver, using high voltage electricity and sulfur compounds. Tamar Ettun’s debut solo exhibition with the gallery will be exhibited March 14-18. Ettun (b. Jerusalem, Israel, 1982) uses textile, sculpture, and performance to examine somatic empathy, trauma-healing modalities, and ritual. The Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association (MYAB), also known as the Minneapolis Millers, is a nonprofit organization operated by volunteers passionate about teaching kids to play baseball.
