Buy compost at CH Recycling Center Saturdays
The Columbia Heights High School Key Club is selling finished compost as part of the MN Composting Council’s “Plate to Garden Compost” fundraiser at the Columbia Heights recycling center, 3801 Madison St. open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. People do not have to be Columbia Heights residents to receive the compost. Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is seeking a new superintendent. Director Nelson Inz, Chair of the Superintendent Selection Committee, said, “The committee has been reviewing a list of well-qualified candidates. We look forward to presenting a list of finalists to the full Board.” A community reception with finalists will be held May 16, and by May 27, the Board will meet to vote and approve a final contract for the new Superintendent.
