Sunday, Oct. 2, 12-5 pm at Shaw’s Bar & Grill, 1528 University Ave. NE. $5 suggested donation. Live music by Oleksiy Khrystych (Ukrainian folk), Joe Macko (polka), Daina DePrez & Friends, Shawshank Redemption & Friends. Silent auction, bake walk, whiskey/wine barrel raffle, Ukrainian craft sale. Ukrainian Refugee Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, administered by the Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia and all donations are tax deductible.

The Otherworldly Arts Collective presents Gods & Monsters annual horror art show at ArtSpace at Jackson Flats, 901 18 1/2 Ave NE. A dark ball complete with ethereal melodies and alchemical brews. The Columbia Heights Police Department will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, Oct. 24, 10 am-4 pm. Blood will be collected in the fire bays at the Columbia Heights Public Safety Bldg, 825 41st Ave NE. For the third year, Columbia Heights will assemble a wall calendar featuring images submitted by the public. This year’s theme is “Art of Columbia Heights.” Three categories of submissions are eligible: 1.) Speakeasy to benefit Northeast Minneapolis Arts District
When studios in Northeast Minneapolis open for the weekend of November 4-5-6, visitors can purchase cocktails at the basement Speakeasy at Casket Arts building. Friends of the Northeast Library Book Sale

Sunday, Dec. 11, 3 pm. This free concert will feature favorite Christmas hymns and carols sung by Salem’s children, youth and adult choirs.
