“Celebrating Our Roots:
On June 13, Minneapolis Edible Boulevards and the Sheridan Neighborhood Organization Community Garden will host a free "Celebrating Our Roots" cooking demonstration featuring Samo and Nate, the owners and chefs of Food on the Fly. The event will take place from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the Sheridan Neighborhood Organization Community Garden, located at 611 13th Ave. NE in Minneapolis. The Columbia Heights Lions will host the Annual Jamboree June 25-28. Thursday through Saturday there is a $2 gate fee for anyone 13 and up; 12 and under are free with a paying adult. Hours are: Thursday, June 25, 5-10:30 pm; Friday, June 26, 3 pm-12 am; Saturday, June 27, 1 pm-12 am. The parade starts at 6 pm Friday; music by DNR in the Beer Garden that evening.
