Northeast Holiday Celebration for scholarships
The Northeast Minneapolis Chamber will host a Northeast Holiday Celebration, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 5-6:30 pm, in the Jax Café Cosmopolitan Room, 1928 University Ave. NE. Participants can enjoy appetizers, networking, and holiday cheer at this annual event which will raise funds for the Edison High School Voyager Scholarship fund.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make its 20th annual stop at the intersection of Columbia Heights, St. Anthony and Minneapolis (Stinson Blvd. and 37th Avenue NE) at 8 pm. Dec. 11. Pre-arrival festivities begin at 7 pm, including bonfires, s’mores, and refreshments. The train arrives at 8, with a free concert from 8:15-8:45 pm. Sunday, Dec. 15, 9 am-12 pm, the Columbia Heights Lions Club will host a Dad's Belgian Waffle Breakfast with Santa at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. The cost is $8/person with children 5 and under free of charge. All proceeds go to "Shop with a Cop." There will be face painting along with the Lions' Cash Bar.
