Pierogi Fundraiser for Ukrainian Center
The Ukrainian Center, 301 Main St. NE, is selling frozen pierogies with a side of onions and sour cream on Fridays, Aug. 28, Sept. 4 & 11 as a fundraiser to help cover losses due to the continuing COVID-19 shutdown. $10 per dozen (potato pierogi) - just in time for the Labor Day weekend and those final vacations and getaways. Theater Latte Da online benefit for the arts
Theater Latté Da will have its first online benefit, Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 pm. One hundred percent of funds raised will go directly into the hands of theater artists. The event raises crucial funds to support NEXT Up, Theater Latté Da’s intensive new works laboratory launched in May 2020. The online event is free to watch, though registration is required.

While the pandemic is preventing a traditional public unveiling of “Collection Point,” the theme of collections that influenced the piece is prompting a collecting of donated art supplies for local organizations.
