MN Pocket Pet Rescue’s 12th Birthday Bash
Sunday, April 26, 11 am-3 pm, North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center, 2825 N. 2nd St. The MN Pocket Pet Rescue turns 12 this year. This free family-friendly event will include a guinea pig 'pignic,' a Pet A Hedgehog animal encounter, animal ambassadors of multiple pocket pet species, face painting, free crafts, games, merch, music and more. Celebrating with Purpose
Saturday, May 2, Grumpy's NE, 2200 4th St. NE, 1-8 pm, outdoors, rain or shine. A food drive to benefit The Food Group, this is a pay-what-you-can-afford, cash-only event (suggested donation, $20). Grumpy's will supply food, Country Mike, Rude Girl, Whiskey Rock 'n Roll Club, Heartless, Trompe le Monde and Cars for Skids will provide the music.

Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 1701 St. Anthony Pkwy., will hold its Annual Flower Sale over Mother's Day weekend, Thurday, May 7, 12-7 pm; Friday, May 8, 9 am-7 pm; Saturday, May 9, 10 am-4 pm and Sunday, May 10, 10 am-2 pm. Plants supplied from Pletschers. Saturday will feature "Family Fun Day on Ulysses" with hot dogs, sodas and fun activities for kids while you shop. Food Truck Festival
Father Hennepin Bluff Park, 420 Main St. SE, will be the scene of the Minnesota Food Truck Festival Saturday, Aug. 1, 11 am-9 pm. More than 40 food trucks will be on hand for this free event, where every free wristband provides three meals for those in need via Feed My Starving Children.
