Exploring the Shoreham Repository
Explore an experimental artist archive about Shoreham Yards, a 230-acre railway and trucking facility in Northeast Minneapolis. The collection, created and compiled by artist Gudrun Lock with 13 collaborators, tells a complex history of this living landscape through art, maps, photographs, scientific observations and experiments, found objects, film and more. The annual meeting of the St. Anthony Village Historical Society will be held Saturday, April 18, 10 am, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 3301 Silver Lake Road. Celebrating with Purpose
Saturday, May 2, Grumpy's NE, 2200 4th St. NE, 1-8 pm, outdoors, rain or shine. A food drive to benefit The Food Group, this is a pay-what-you-can-afford, cash-only event (suggested donation, $20). Grumpy's will supply food, Country Mike, Rude Girl, Whiskey Rock 'n Roll Club, Heartless, Trompe le Monde and Cars for Skids will provide the music.
