“The Medicine Show of the 25th Century”
Off-Leash Area relaunches its popular Neighborhood Garage Tour, bringing professional theater and dance directly into neighborhoods throughout the metro area. This year’s tour brings back their energetic and imaginative family friendly production, “The Medicine Show of the 25th Century.” The play will be presented 7 pm Sept. 6, 7 and 8 at 3612 33rd Ave NE, St. Anthony. The Waite Park Community Council will host their annual Waite Park Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14, 3-7 pm. It will take place in Waite Park, 1810 34th Ave. NE. St. Anthony Fire Dept. open house
As part of Fire Prevention Week, St. Anthony Fire Dept. will hold an open house Saturday, Oct. 5, 1-4 pm, at the department's garage at 3505 Silver Lake Rd. Firefighters will demonstrate a live burn and allow visitors to use a firehose and get a close-up look at the fire equipment. Sparky the Firedog will be there, and lunch will be served. Residents will also have a chance to recycle used home fire extinguishers.

Gather at the Columbia Heights Public Library at 9 am Saturday, Oct. 12, to get safety vests, garbage bags and street assignments. Park assignments are made for families with young children who participate. Each group goes to their area and safely picks up trash from the sidewalks and vegetation along the sidewalks (or park).
