The Columbia Heights Lions will sponsor pro wrestling at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE, on Friday, Spet. 19. Doors open at 6 pm and bell-time is 7 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door; 9 years old and younger get in for free with a paid adult. Cash bar.

Local author Isaiah Allen will read from his book A Smile, about a young black boy who discovers the transformative power of a smile. The first five families that arrive will receive a free copy of his signed book. The accompanying book read by a fraternity brother is Be the Light by Daria Peoples, a story of civil rights icon Angela Davis and the power of people. Saturday, Sept. 20, 8-9 am. Join the Epsilon Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated (a Black Greek Letter Organization) for story hour at the cafe.
