Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/Cleanup
Sponsored by the Great River Coalition, the National Park Service and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the 9th annual Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk is back at Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE, Saturday, April 20. Purpose: Protect pollinators and their habitat. 8:30 am, kids' run starts; 9 am, fun run starts; 9:30 am, river cleanup starts (bags & gloves will be provided). The St. Anthony Village High School Concert Band & Jazz Band present the 60th Annual Pops Concert, "Pop Culture,” Friday & Saturday, April 26 & 27 at 7 pm. The Midwest Polka Association (MPA) invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of listening and dancing to polkas and waltzes at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE, Sunday, April 28, 1-5 pm. Steve Burclaw's New Polish Sounds will provide the music dance. This is the first time this band has played for a MPA dance and the first time they have played in Minnesota.
