“Into the Studio: A Runway Presentation and Conversation”
Strey Collective, Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE #179, will host the Fashion Week Minnesota event, "Into the Studio," on Wednesday, April 27, 4-7 pm. Into the Studio is a presentation of six spring 2022 collections paired with a conversation about fashion from the designers’ perspectives. 13th Minnesota Cuban Film Festival

Kyriopoulos to read at Solar Arts
Marjorie Lin Kyriopoulos, the author of "HeartStrings," will read excerpts from her memoir and share how the trauma of her aunt’s untimely death worked its way into her heart, traveling through three generations of her family. Pulling invasive plants
Volunteers are needed for a final (for this year) “invasive plant pull” Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 am-noon along the Sheridan Memorial Park at 13th Avenue and the Mississippi. Zen Center Open House
Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, 652 17th Ave. NE, invites neighbors and those curious about Zen to attend an open house on Friday, Nov. 4, 7-9 pm. They offer opportunities for meditation practice and retreats, weekly talks, and classes on Buddhist teachings. Programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are held four times a year. Visitors can tour the center, learn about programs, and meet Guiding Teachers. All are welcome. Masks required while inside the building.
