St. Maron Annual Lebanese Bake Sale and Country Store
Annual Lebanese Bake Sale and Country Store at St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church, 602 University Ave. NE, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12, 11 am-6 pm and Sunday, Nov. 13, 9 am-1 pm. Enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine of sumboosick, baklava, macaroon cookies, mishtah, meat pies, spinach pies and zaatar bread (manoushe) plus other baked goodies. GriefShare grief recovery seminar and support group meets at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St. NE, Wednesdays, Aug. 31-Nov. 16, 6:30-8:30 pm. Each session is self-contained, so you can join at any time. GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery topics. St. Hedwig’s Christmas Fair & Bake Sale
St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 129 29th Ave. NE, will hold its Christmas Fair and Bake Sale Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 am-4 pm and Sunday, Dec. 4, 11 am-noon. Many items for sale as well as baked goods. Drawings at 12 pm Sunday. Donations of baked goods and used items accepted before the sale.

Sunday, Dec. 11, 3 pm. This free concert will feature favorite Christmas hymns and carols sung by Salem’s children, youth and adult choirs. The church’s Wind Ensemble, Handbell Ensemble and organist will also take centerstage to spread Christmas cheer. There will also be a crowd sing-along portion.
