Northeast United Methodist Church, 2510 Cleveland Street NE, will offer a free takeaway meal Saturday, May 9, 6- 7 pm. Walk up to the Cleveland entrance to receive the meal.

St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 825 51st Ave NE, Columbia Heights, will offer a free takeaway meal Tuesday, May 12, 5-7 pm. The cold meal of a sandwich, chips, fruit, carrot sticks and dessert is offered in lieu of the church's regular community meal. Drive through the parking lot. Last month, 190 meals were served.

Pierogi sales have been stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They hope to return to selling in fall 2020. Orginal text: Saint Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 University Ave. NE, is selling its pyrohy/pierogi for take-out and eat-in each Friday through May 15, 2020, from 11 am-1 pm in its school building at 314 6th Ave. NE, just east of University Ave. NE. CANCELED: IC Summer Jam 2020
Due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church has canceled its annual parish festival, IC Summer Jam, scheduled for Aug. 6-9. The church looks forward to gathering together once again next year, Aug. 5-8, 2021, for a celebration filled with food, live music, and more.
