Community Sing with Dan Chouinard

Polka Mass and German dinner, Sunday, Oct.13, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 633 2nd St. NE. Polka Mass at 11 am followed by German Dinner (serving noon-3 pm) featuring roast pork, potato dumplings, sauerkraut, red cabbage and dessert. Takeout available. Silent Auction. Free Community Dinner at Faith UMC

St. Anne's Club at St. Maron Maronite Church, 602 University Ave. NE, will hold its annual Lebanese bake sale and Country Store Saturday, Nov. 16, 11 am–5 pm and Sunday, Nov. 17, 9 am–12 pm. The Holy Cross Rosary Guild will host its annual Christmas Bazaar and Village Display, Kolbe Hall, 1630 4th St. NE. "Sip & Shop Event" on Friday, Dec. 6, 6-8 pm with music and sing along, crafts, baked goods and appetizers. Free admission with donations welcome. Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 am-6 pm: Snacks, baked goods. St. Michael’s & St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church invites the public to warm the cold winter nights with made-from-scratch borscht (beet soup) and pyrizhky (home-made bread rolls with a creamy potato filling and lightly fried). Take-out dinners are $12 and include a 16-oz bowl of borscht and two pyrizhky. Additional pyrizhky filled with sauteed sauerkraut, cherries or chocolate available for purchase as well as frozen perogies. Fridays, Dec. 6, 13 and 20 from 4:30-6:30 pm. 505 4th St. NE.
