St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2739 Stinson Blvd. NE, will host Memorial Blood Bank on Monday, Aug. 23, 1:30 to-6:30 pm in Doran Hall. There is a constant need for blood; Minnesota hospitals use 700-800 units of blood each day for victims of trauma, or burns, surgical patients and cancer patients. Holy Cross rummage sale
Find all sorts of treasures in Holy Cross Parish’s second rummage sale of the year Friday, Sept. 10 and Saturday, Sept. 11, 10 am-8 pm, and Sunday, Sept. 12, 8 am-12 pm for a $2/bag special. Sale is in Kolbe Hall, 1630 4th St. NE (entry by 4th St doors). Proceeds support the parish mission.

Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights, 950 Gould Ave. NE, will hold their Rummage Sale Thursday and Friday, Sept. 16-17, 9 am-5 pm and Saturday, Sept. 18, 9 am-1 pm. Fall Festival at Salem Covenant
Families are invited to a free Fall Festival at Salem Covenant Church, Saturday, Oct. 9, 1-4 pm.
