Monumental VBS at Waite Park Church
Don’t let your summer drag by with endless days of staring at screens. Connect as a family while having a blast at Monumental VBS at Waite Park Church, 1510 33rd Ave NE, Monday-Friday, July 25-29, 5:45-8 pm. The public is invited to St. Michael's & St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Saturday, July 30 beginning at 4 pm for a fun evening of bingo and brats. The event will include outdoor food tents featuring Kramarczuk brats and pierogi-on-a-stick. Inside the church hall, play continuous bingo for cash and prizes. SeptemberFest is Sept. 9-11
The fun will take place under the big tents on the Holy Cross parking lot at 4th St. and 17th Ave NE, Friday-Saturday, Sept. 9-10, 5-10 pm, and Sunday, Sept. 11, 10 am-3 pm. German dinner and polka mass
St. Boniface Catholic Church, 633 2nd St. NE, will hold is 32nd annual German dinner and polka mass Sunday, Oct. 9. Polka Mass at 11 am, followed by a traditional German dinner featuring jaegerschnitzel (roast pork), potato dumplings, sauerkraut, red cabbage and a special Bavarian dessert from noon to 3 pm or sold out. Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights, 950 Gould Ave. (behind Heights Theater), will hold its annual lasagna dinner on Saturday, Oct.15, 4:30-6:30 pm. Again this year, it will be a takeout/drive -thru event and the cost is $15.
