The Edison Community & Sports Foundation Hall of Fame dinner will be held Monday, Oct. 16 at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. Social hour will be at 5:30 pm with dinner and ceremony to follow. Lowell Mielke ('65), Tim Schneider ('76) and the 1979 baseball team are this year’s inductees. Championship teams from 1977 will be honored into the circle of champions. Following a Sept. 18 update at Beltrami Park, a merger vote will take place 6:30 pm Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Northeast Park recreation center, 1530 Johnson St. NE. The merger will be considered a yes vote by a 51% approval from members of the Beltrami, Logan Park and Northeast Park neighborhoods.

Saving St. Anthony Falls
John Anfinson, Ph.D., will lecture on the history of and problems with the massive cutoff wall that literally holds up St. Anthony Falls, which has not been seen or inspected since 1876.
