Youth invited to free virtual artist in residence classes
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) invite youth and teens ages 8-18 to join in a free week of connecting with a Virtual Artist in Residence (AiR) and other young creative for kit-based artmaking from home.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Aug. 15, for Black Villagefest, "a visual representation of what redistributing wealth, time and energy into well-deserving and long ignored work should be like." Work by Black and brown artists will be displayed in the parking lot at Central Park, St. Anthony, from 3-8 pm. The Stone Arch Bridge Festival, normally held in June, has been rescheduled to September 26-27. For 25 years, the festival has been bringing art, music and community to the historic riverfront district of Minneapolis. This postponement is due to COVID-19 and out of concern for the health and well-being of the artists, attendees and the community. This year's festival will include 200+ artists, Culinary Arts Market, Vintage and Vinyl Market, Live Music, Family Activities and Art of the Car Show.…
