“Foreign Bodies” by Kate Casanova
Hanging daringly over the gallery or displayed on custom-made tables and shelves, Kate Casanova’s exhibition at Kolman & Reeb explores bodies and the foreign materials, such as clothing and skin piercings, that inhabit them. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 12-1 pm. Clay Squared presents monthly presentations focused on fun themes with snacks that relate. This month's theme is "Hot and Flashy." Josh Blanc will go into kiln firing in the tile studio and Layl McDill will bake your small polymer clay creation for you during the event. Holly Streekstra, a conceptual artist, works with multiple modes and forms of expression to investigate our subjective inner states, our relationship with wonder and our desire for mystery and enchantment. Unlimited Keyes Art Fair

Responding to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Piotr Szyhalski began drawing Labor Camp Reports once again. Much like the COVID-19: Labor Camp Report series from 2020, this new and ongoing body of work serves as a way of witnessing and recording the experience of “extreme historical phenomenon” unfolding in real time.
