Mississippi River Pearl at Heights City Hall

“Techniques for Ecstasy”
Minneapolis-based textile artist and dancer Alexandra Beaumont will hold a solo exhibition, “Techniques for Ecstasy" at Public Functionary, 1500 Jackson St. NE. The exhibit explores communal spaces for dance and celebration. It will open on May 4 and run through May 25. It will be on view and featured during Art-A-Whirl weekend at the Northrup King Building.

This is the 50-year anniversary of the death of Picasso. There are worldwide events planned. David Feinberg and Holly Tappen’s new art show explores the methods, techniques and motifs found in Picasso’s abstract expressionism. The California Building, 2205 California St. NE, will be open during Art-A-Whirl® 2024, May 17-19. Hours are Friday, May 17, 5-10 pm; Saturday, May 18, 12-8 pm; and Sunday, May 19, 12-5 pm.
