Mural honoring the life of Philando Castile
Faith United Methodist Church is honoring Philando Castile’s life during the month of July by displaying a mural of Mr. Castile painted by local Saint Anthony High School student Semhar Solomon and a team of friends. Philando Castile was fatally shot by a St. Anthony police officer on July 6, 2016, during a traffic stop. The mural will be available for viewing at the corner of 33rd and Belden Ave NE during the month of July, with a short hiatus around July 6 in honor of the fifth anniversary of Philando’s death.
