ART365 working artist dates
Organized by Northeast Minneapolis Arts District volunteers, ART365 invites the public to visit one featured working artist’s studio in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District each day of the year, usually noon-5 pm. It promises more individual attention than the large open studio events, and invites artists to visit each other.
ART365 participants known so far in the next few weeks are:
Saturday, Feb. 22, Powerful Female Poets, group poetry reading, Eat My Words Bookstore, 214 13th Ave. NE, 6:30-8 pm.;
Friday, Feb. 28, JudyOdesigns Handmade Hats, join Judy in her studio, 2221 University Ave. NE, back entrance, to see the process of creating one-of-a-kind hats, headbands, and scarves from recycled fabrics;
Thursday, March 5, First Thursday in the Arts District, selected studios open 5-9 pm, in the Northrup King Building and the Solar Arts Building;
Friday, March 6, noon-5 pm, Follow the Muse, the studio and gallery of Northeast artists Marc Clements and K. Daphnae Koop, with their own work and art by other artists, which is typically unusual and experimental, inspirational, or non-representational; and
Thursday, March 12, noon-5 pm, Fiber Works MPLS, see the work of students wrapping up a week-long spring break kids camp and receive a fiber gift.
