CenterPoint Energy is doing line work across Lowry at Grand Street NE. Due to the water table, it was not possible to partially restrict Lowry to one lane traffic each way so the entire street is closed. CenterPoint officials were unfamiliar with Art-A-Whirl®, and scheduled their work in such a way as to have Lowry open ahead of Memorial Day. They posted “no parking” signs along California Street and re-routed bus traffic. Art-A-Whirl® planners worked with Minneapolis Public Works and CenterPoint to regain parking for this weekend’s event. The “no parking” signs have been moved north of Lowry on California Street. There will be parking near the California Building. See https://nemaa.org/art-a-whirl/getting-around/ for all parking options.
