After an absence of several years, the Bottineau Neighborhood Association community potluck is back. For the first time they have partnered with California Street Farm, 72 22nd Ave. NE, to host this gathering on August 28 at the farm.
The event brought neighbors together for an evening of laughter, connection and fun for all ages. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the gardens, it was easy to forget you were still in the heart of the city.

Attendees truly brought their A-game, contributing an impressive spread that included juicy ribs, brats, flavorful chicken, fresh and creative salads and a tempting assortment of mouthwatering desserts. A peach basil cake stole the show, however.
Elyssa Eull and her sister Cory operate California Street Farm and sell their produce at local farmers markets and through Community Supported Agriculture. In light of the shooting that occurred just the day before at Annunciation Church in South Minneapolis, Eull said “This gathering offered a much-needed space for neighbors to connect and demonstrate that coming together can truly makes a difference in the community.”
HUM Yoga + Barre hosted a free yoga session at 5:30 p.m., while Behind Bars Bicycle Shop offered complimentary bike repairs.
