Highway 280 reopens
Highway MN-280 reopened on Friday, Aug. 21. The road, which had been closed for roughly four months, connects Roseville to the greater Twin Cities area. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) resurfaced the roadway from I-94 to Hwy 36/I-35W, repaired bridges, repaired and resurfaced ramps, repaired drainage and made additional improvements. In 2028, MnDOT will resume work on the highway. They will permanently close the left turn from Hwy 280 to Broadway St. NE, the scene of serious crashes. Right turns at the intersection of Hwy 280 and Broadway St. will remain open. The reconstruction is part of a multi-year reconstruction project by MnDOT.
