Discount store changes to online-only model
Discount 70, a discount store formerly located at 63 St. Anthony Parkway, has closed its physical location and shifted to an online-only model. The service offers curbside pickup on orders, though the location is not disclosed until an order has been confirmed.
Brewery to expand patio
Indeed Brewing, 711 15th Ave. NE, is set to expand its seating and outdoor offerings.
The brewery will expand its patio over the coming year, with plans to finalize next spring. Final plans will include around 100 new seats, more lighting, plantings, new tables and a structure to provide shelter from the rain. The current patio seats around 188.
Latin American restaurant expands to NE
Los Andes NE, a Latin American restaurant, has expanded to a new location. The restaurant’s latest addition is at 2300 University Ave. NE. The first location is 607 W Lake St.
Vietnamese restaurant burglarized
On the evening of May 7, Que Viet, a Vietnamese restaurant at 2211 Johnson St. NE., was broken in to. A social-media post by the restaurant’s ownership clarifies that no staff members were harmed in the incident. The restaurant remained open.

Brewery to shut down after 12 years
Bauhaus Brew Labs, 1315 Tyler St. NE, will have its final last call in June.
“Despite pulling every lever available to us, the financial headwinds have proven to be insurmountable,” the company’s team wrote on social media on May 14.
The same post names a range of struggles faced by the company, such as supply-chain induced cost increases, shifting consumer preferences, COVID-19 and “a surge in federal immigration enforcement that directly targeted our wonderful city and deeply affected businesses across the hospitality industry.”
The brewery will remain open until the end of June. It will hold “one last bash” to celebrate its 12-year anniversary June 26-28.
“We are going to send Bauhaus off the way it deserves: with great beer, great music, and the people who made this place what it is,” representatives wrote.
