Three of over 60 people who attended either or both of two bike tours that spanned six East Bank neighborhoods over 14 total miles. The first tour covered five miles and the second more extensive tour was nine miles. Cyclists could enjoy riding on Nicollet Island, a new area added to this tour. (Nik Linde)
Freewheel Bike hosted the tour and encouraged college students to join and discover neighborhoods. “This is very different from an ice cream social,” said Executive Director of East Bank Neighborhood Partnership Chris Lautenschlager. Food and refreshments were available afterward for participants. The next bike tour will take place at the start of the fall semester. (Nik Linde)
