Kate Singer of Studio Pintura at Northrup King Building demonstrates adding texture to cold wax and oil paint encaustic. Hattie Larson, closest to foreground, won a kids’ Color Match Challenge Saturday, May 21 as Catherine Tong had participants mix red, yellow, and blue to match their chosen portion of a flower. MJ Kinman, textile artist from Kentucky, was the guest artist in Julie Burkart-Haid’s studio at Solar Arts. Kinman bases her quilts on the flow of light and color in gemstones.
