Snack and Squish: “Monsters and Maidens”
Josh Blanc will talk about how some of his glaze or kiln “mistakes” led to very cool creations. Layl McDillwill explore how cane making has taught her acceptance of whatever you get. Experiment with some glazes in the tile studio and then make some of your own monsters or maidens in Layl’s polymer clay studio. The River Rats water skiing team is back on the Mississippi River, providing free shows on Thursday nights throughout the summer. Pre-show at 6:30, performance at 7 pm, until August, when pre-show starts at 6:15 and performance at 6:45. Dates are May 29; June 5, 12, 19 and 26; July 3, 10, 17, 23 and 24 (Aquatennial warmup and performance) and 31; Aug. 8, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28.

Nicollet Island, or Wita Waste in Dakota, lies just above St. Anthony Falls, next to downtown Minneapolis, and is the site of the first bridge anywhere across the Mississippi River.
