St. Maron Lebanese bake sale & country store
St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church’s annual Lebanese bake sale and country store will take place Saturday, Nov. 11, 11 am-6 pm and Sunday, Nov. 12, 9 am-1 pm at 602 University Avenue NE. Enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine of sumboosick, baklava, macaroon cookies, mishtah, meat pies, spinach pies and zaatar bread (manoushe) plus other baked goodies. Minneapolis Public Works will hold an open house Thursday, Nov. 16, 6-8 pm at the Audubon Recreation Center, 1320 29th Ave. NE. From Central Ave. to Stinson Blvd., 29th Ave NE will be repaved in 2024. The city is considering adding paint and plastic bollards to the street to create bike lanes, medians and other safety features. Review the plans and provide feedback. The Columbia Heights Lions will bring professional wrestling back to Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE, Friday, Nov. 17.
