NE renter’s rights forum
Neighborhood organizations join together to present a renter's rights forum Wednesday, Oct. 11, 6-9 pm at Būch Fermentary & Taproom, 1121 Quincy St. NE. Tables with renter advocates, renter resource tables, free pizza from Earl Giles and giveaways. Sponsored by Beltrami Neighborhood Council, St. Anthony East Neighborhood Association, Northeast Park Neighborhood Association, Logan Park Neighborhood Association, Windom Park Citizens in Action and Waite Park Community Council.

Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE, will host a concert of Elizabethan era music on Saturday, Oct. 14, 7:30 pm. Enjoy a haunting concert entitled “In Trembling Shadow” featuring soprano Sarah Jackson, lutenist Thomas Walker Jr. and gambist Mary Burke. This free concert features great music of sixteenth century England in the candlelit splendor of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

The Edison Community & Sports Foundation Hall of Fame dinner will be held Monday, Oct. 16 at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. Social hour will be at 5:30 pm with dinner and ceremony to follow. From now until Jan. 15, 2024, Theater Latté Da will accept applications for its NEXT Generation Commission. The commission will go to BIPOC and women artists and will support the creation and development of new musical theater projects. In addition to the $20,000 commission awarded to the individual artist or creative team, the project will receive creative and developmental support over an 18-month period, including two developmental workshops totaling a minimum of 50 hours.
