Eastside Food Co-op and the Columbia Heights Library will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Richard Scarry’s classic Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. "Prudence and Misfortune" is an exhibition at NE Sculpture|Gallery Factory, 1720 Madison St. NE #14. The work of Michael Sommers, the show is about the Prudence and Misfortune of materials, not lost nor forgotten, but rediscovered, repurposed, shaped by hands and eyes that see and cannot see. The St. Anthony Village High School Concert Band & Jazz Band present the 60th Annual Pops Concert, "Pop Culture,” Friday & Saturday, April 26 & 27 at 7 pm. The Midwest Polka Association (MPA) invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of listening and dancing to polkas and waltzes at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE, Sunday, April 28, 1-5 pm. Steve Burclaw's New Polish Sounds will provide the music dance. This is the first time this band has played for a MPA dance and the first time they have played in Minnesota.
