Santa on the Fire Truck
For over 25 years, the St. Anthony Fire Department has helped Santa and his reindeer collect for families in need. Once again we will drive down streets in St. Anthony to help spread holiday cheer. Acceptable donations for Toys for Tots: New, unwrapped toys, cash or check. Checks can be made out to “Toys for Tots." Dipped & Debris, which opened at 2422 Central Ave. NE in late September, will have a free opening artist reception for a collection of commissioned drawings and paintings that represent their classic sandwiches and frozen custard, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 6-7:30 pm.

Find out more »Christmas fundraiser at Bywood East
Bywood East Health Care, 3427 Central Ave. NE, will have a Christmas fundraiser on Thursday, December 13, 9 am-12:30 pm. Large selection of holiday baked goods, plus grilled hot dogs, pop, chips and their famous chicken soup for sale. Many residents have been working on craft projects that will be available for purchase as well. Proceeds will be given to the Sunshine Club, which provides transportation for outings, Christmas gifts, and entertainment for Bywood East residents. Info: Mary Farnham 612-788-9757.

The St. Anthony Village High School Jazz Band will perform at Barnes & Noble Har Mar, Saturday, Dec. 15, 1-2:30 pm. Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale, 9 am-10 pm, to St. Anthony High School bands.

Each year over 100 different kinds of cookies are available. Everything from ethnic cookies such as krumkake, lefsa, and spritz, to traditional thumb prints and decorated sugar cookies, to no-bake cookies like Christmas wreaths and date balls, and everything in-between including some candies.
