VillageFest returns to St. Anthony Village after its pandemic hiatus, Aug. 6-7. The annual parade kicks things off at 7:30 pm Friday, Aug. 6. Saturday, Aug. 7, is filled with activities at Central Park, beginning with a 5K Fun Run at 8 am, and a 1/4-mile Tot Trot for Kids at 9:15 am. Pit Squad Rescue MN will hold a pet adoption event at Pet Central, 2700 Central Ave NE, Saturday, Aug. 7, noon-3 pm. Dogs and other animals will be available for adoption, and spay/neutering services will be half price. Pit Squad Rescue is a nonprofit, no kill-foster based rescue focusing on the bully breed to reduce euthanasia rates.
