Irish Dance at the Pavilion
MPRB's Dancing at the Pavilion series with Mactir Academy of Irish Dance on Sunday, March 23, 3-6 pm, Nicollet Island Pavilion. Doors open at 2:45 pm, with dance lessons starting at 3 pm. Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE, will host a free concert by the Orchestra of the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University on Saturday, March 29, 2 pm. Mel Hart graduated from St. Anthony Village High School in 1963. Tragically, he was killed in action on May 4, 1966, while serving his country. In honor of Mel's memory and achievements, a scholarship bearing his name was established at St. Anthony High School. Steele & Hops, 2800 39th Ave. NE, will host a breakfast Saturday, April 5, 9-11 am. Proceeds will go towards scholarships for a boy and girl. The cost of the breakfast buffet will be $15.
