Submissions for the Mississippi Minute Film Festival are due online Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. They will be juried by Oct. 10 and awards will be announced and films projected on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.

This years’ Garden Stroll will be held on Saturday, September 17, 4-6 p.m. at the Waite Park Community Garden, 3601 Lincoln Ave. NE. Community gardeners will prepare recipes which feature zucchini, and bring samples to share with the public and a panel of community-members judges. Taste and vote on the entries. There will also be garden tours, children’s activities and even a Pokémon Go Poke Stop. The MSP Music Expo will be Sunday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Ramada Plaza Minneapolis, 1330 Industrial Blvd. The Expo features dozens of dealers from throughout the Midwest selling tens of thousands of record albums, 45 RPM records, CDs and music memorabilia from the 1950s to today.
