There is a constant need for blood; in Minnesota, hospitals use 700-800 units of blood each day for victims of trauma or burns, surgical patients and cancer patients. Your donation of one unit of blood can save three lives.

Paddle Share, the kayak-sharing system for experienced kayakers that allows them to share the use of a kayak on the Mississippi River, opened May 26 and will run through the end of September. A free Fall Prevention Clinic will be held Friday, June 1, 1:30-3:00 at Fitness Crossroad, 2912 Pentagon Drive. All are welcome from the community. The workshop will include the discussion of risk factors of falls, learning safety tips to prevent falls, introduction to low impact fall prevention exercises to improve balance, and hands-on practice getting up from a fall.
