East Side Old Timers reunion
The East Side Old Timers 67th Annual Reunion will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, 6:30 pm at Holy Cross-Kolbe Center 1620 4th St. NE. Food and refreshments will be served, admission is $5. The Old Timers are inducting Rick Jaede, Jay Doetkott, Rick Eskola, and Jeff Moritko into the East Side Hall of Fame. The Edison Class of 1967 will hold its 55th Class Reunion Sept. 23-25. Friday, Sept. 23 is a golf outing at Columbia Golf Course, 3300 Central Ave. NE, 10 am shotgun start. Saturday, Sept. 24 the class will meet at Elsie’s, 729 Marshall St. NE, 6-11 pm. $25. Sunday, Sept. 25 is a class picnic at Dan and Suzette Malasko’s farm in Milaca, Minn. The St. Anthony Village Library, 2941 Pentagon Dr. NE, will have a used book sale at the store space next door to the library, 2933 Pentagon Dr. NE, on Friday, Sept. 23, 10 am-2 pm and Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 am-2 pm. The sale will include hundreds of adult and children’s fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback, many priced $1 or less. Lori Lentz will speak about the ideas and inspirations behind her imaginative painting, and will conduct a demonstration, Saturday, Sept. 24, 11 am-12 pm, Pierre Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St NE, Minneapolis.
