Volunteers are needed for a final (for this year) “invasive plant pull” Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 am-noon along the Sheridan Memorial Park at 13th Avenue and the Mississippi. Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights, 950 Gould Ave. (behind Heights Theater), will hold its annual lasagna dinner on Saturday, Oct.15, 4:30-6:30 pm. Again this year, it will be a takeout/drive -thru event and the cost is $15.
