DESCRIPTION:Compassionate Ocean Zen Center\, 652 17th Ave. NE\, will hold an open house on Saturday\, Sept. 9\, 1-3 pm. Tour the Zen Center\, learn about their programs\, meet guiding teachers\, enjoy refreshments and attend a short introductory presentation at 2 pm. Compassionate Ocean offers opportunities for meditation practice\, weekly talks and classes on Buddhist teachings. Four times a year they offer programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
