SUMMARY:Virtual MinnAnimate 9 premiers Sept. 10
DESCRIPTION:In its ninth year\, MinnAnimate\, a yearly showcase of Minnesota-made animation will have its virtual premiere Thursday\, Sept. 10\, at 7 pm. Short interviews with some of the filmmakers will follow the program. It will stream at MinnAnimate.com. The whole program will be viewable online for the following weekend\, too. \nIn past years\, MinnAnimate\, which features animated shorts by youth\, students\, and independent animators\, partnered with the Film Society of Minneapolis and St. Paul to present this showcase at the St. Anthony Main Theater\, but this year\, because of COVID-19\, MinnAnimate will be online. \nMinnAnimate would like to thank the Film Society of Minneapolis and St. Paul for their partnership\, and the Minnesota State Arts Board\, which supported the showcase this year through an Artist Initiative grant awarded to John Akre. \n
