SUMMARY:Twin Cities Ukrainian Heritage Festival
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy Ukrainian entertainment\, delicious homemade foods like varenyky (pierogi)\, holubtsi (stuffed cabbage rolls)\, and borsch (beet soup)\, have fun\, and support Ukraine. Saturday\, Sept. 17\, 12-5 pm\, Ukrainian American Community Center\, 301 Main St. NE. The 21st annual Ukrainian Heritage Festival will feature an art auction and photo exhibit with proceeds going to Protez Foundation\, which provides prosthetics for Ukrainian amputees. Highlights include: Performances by Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble\, featuring dancers of all ages including a newly formed adult group on the indoor stage; music by the Ukrainian Village Band\, a Ukrainian roots band\, playing folk and modern music on the outdoor stage; Ukrainian Easter egg-making demonstrations and craft vendors; beer garden with local and international beers; and children’s games.
