DESCRIPTION:“Spent” grain from making alcoholic beverages may not be so spent after all. Find out at a special happy hour at 612Brew\, 945 Broadway Street NE\, Tuesday\, Feb. 18\, 5–7pm. \nNETZRO\, an “upcycled” food company\, is working with local brewers to reharvest spent grain into nutritious\, versatile ingredients that are good for the planet\, farms\, consumers\, and animals. At the happy hour\, guests can meet the brewers that are already actively involved in upcycling spent grain. Guests will be encouraged to share ideas and learn about best practices designed to feed more people\, improve health and reduce waste in our community\, and sample mall bites made from NETZRO’s upcycled spent grain such as pretzels and cornbread. 612Brew will offer a $5 beer special during the event.\n\n\n
