DESCRIPTION:The Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership\, the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization\, and the St. Anthony Falls Lab and River Life Program at the University of Minnesota\, will have a Riverfront Vitality Forum\, “Return to a more natural river? River ecology after the lock\,” Thursday\, May 26\, 6-7:30 p.m.\, at Mill City Museum\, 704 Second St. S. Nearly a year ago the lock at Upper Saint Anthony Falls was closed to boat and barge traffic as the result of an act of Congress\, designed\, in part\, to slow the spread of invasive carp. A panel of experts will discuss the impact on the shape of the river bottom\, how invertebrates and mussels are impacted\, and the impact on water chemistry.
