DESCRIPTION:Sound Unseen and the Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota will present the Minnesota premiere of Polish oddity\, “The Lure\,” Wednesday\, Feb. 8\, at 7 p.m.\, at Trylon microcinema\, 3258 Minnehaha Ave. The film\, which is an official selection of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival\, is a visceral twist on Hans Christian Andersen’s original Little Mermaid tale\, exploring the themes of sexuality\, exploitation\, and the compromises of adulthood. One sister falls for a human\, and as the bonds of sisterhood are tested\, the lines between love and survival get blurred. This original gothic story is directed by first-time director Agnieszka Smoczynska. The cost is $12.
