Homework Help Volunteer Tutor: The Northeast Library is looking for volunteers to assist youth with homework and building graduation skills. Work with youth after school on literacy and homework related projects: reading, math, history, language arts and more. Volunteers must have some experience with school age children and commit to working once a week at a homework help location for a semester. Training is provided. A criminal background check is required. Complete a volunteer application form if you are interested: hclib.org/about/support. Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-7:30 pm.
Chess Club Facilitator: Have fun teaching others the game of chess and meeting other chess fans. The facilitator should have a good understanding of all rules of chess, know the functions and movements of all chess pieces. Have a positive attitude and is able to initiate tasks and relates to children, adults and other staff in a positive manner.
