SUMMARY:NE Community Band holiday concert & fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Community Band will present its holiday concert at Edison High School\, 700 22nd Ave. NE\, Thursday\, Dec. 14. The concert will begin at 7 pm. Selections include old chestnuts such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and “Auld Lang Syne\,” as well as a special reading of “The Night Before Christmas.”  The band will also raffle a pair of wooden music stands created by master woodworker Wilfried Hein. Proceeds will go to the band’s Ralph Sowden Memorial Scholarship\, which provides financial assistance to an Edison senior who will continue their music experience after high school. Free. Refreshments will be served post-concert. \n
