SUMMARY:Mississippi Minute Film Festival entries due Sept. 15
DESCRIPTION:The Third Annual Mississippi Minute Film Festival is open for entries that showcase the river and the National Park. Participants can use smartphones\, tablets\, or video cameras to make a film of 60-seconds or less. Films should be original\, include thoughts about the river and national park\, and inform\, energize\, and inspire action. \nThis year\, the festival is partnering with the National Park Service in honor of its 100th birthday\, and the full sweep\, 72 miles long\, of the river in the Twin Cities is open for film submissions. The National Park area of the river extends from the northernmost reaches of Minneapolis\, through both the Minneapolis and St. Paul riverfronts and all the way down to Hastings. \nSubmissions are due online by Sept. 15\, at 5 p.m. Films will be judged by a panel of experts and awards will be made and films shown at the non-profit Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership’s annual Riverfront Summit Oct. 24 at Mill City Museum\, at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
