DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, Sept. 17\, 10 am\, Columbia Heights Public Library online. A representative from the Senior Linkage Line will present recent changes in Medicare benefits and coverage\, and how these changes affect you. They will cover the importance of reviewing Medicare Part D coverage during the annual Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 15-Dec. 7)\, how to use Medicare.gov to make health insurance comparisons\, how Part D works\, and the impact of the Affordable Care Act. They will also explain the Low Income Subsidy\, a Federal program that may reduce prescription drug costs. Ideal audience: older adults\, caregivers\, and professionals. You will need a web-enabled device with a camera and microphone to participate in this program via Zoom. Registration is required.
