SUMMARY:Lenten soup suppers and fish fries
DESCRIPTION:Holy Cross Catholic Church\, 1621 University Ave. NE\, will observe Lent with Wednesday night soup suppers and Friday night fish fries. Soup suppers are 4:30-7 pm in Kolbe Hall. Tickets are sold at the door. Sponsored by the Council of Catholic Women Rosary Guild; all proceeds benefit local charities. Feb. 21\, chicken with rice; Feb. 28\, chili; March 6\, vegetable beef barley; March 13\, chicken noodle; March 20\, potato ham. Fish fries begin Feb. 16 and every Friday until March 22 (except March 1). Fish\, french fries\, baked potatoes\, mac & cheese\, coleslaw\, desserts\, and beverages. Dinner $14 for seniors and $12 for adults. Children ages 3-11 are $3 and any child under 3 is free. All proceeds will directly contribute to the Don Bosco Youth Fund\, empowering the youth in our parish to embark on a journey of discipleship through Catholic education\, faith formation and vibrant youth activities. \n
